A

Accountable person
The named person every chunk has, even while an agent works on it. An agent can be given a chunk, never held accountable for it. The work map
Accept
A person, or for a piece another member, confirms submitted work or a plan is right. Nobody accepts their own work over MCP. The work map
Agent record
Anything an agent wrote in a session, labelled so by the channel it came through. The record
Answer
A person's reply to a question, given on the page: the default stands, the default with conditions, another option, or something else. Decisions

B

Bridge
The small local MCP server a member's AI tool starts. It passes tool calls to Anacreon and pushes messages into the session. Sessions and tools
Brief
What every session opens on: the vision, its work, what changed since it last looked, and what waits on it. Short, summary first. Sessions and tools

C

Chain
Each project's record entries, each holding its record's hash and the previous entry's, so an edit anywhere breaks every entry after it. The record
Chunk
A large slice of a project's work, with a scope, tags, dependencies and an accountable person. Holds pieces. The work map
Claim
A session's hold on an item, so nobody else takes it. Renewed by activity; an hour without it lapses the claim, keeping the branch and progress. The work map
Commitment
A session's offer of time: an hour, a session, an amount of tokens, or until withdrawn. Borrowed capacity
Concept index
A map of a repository's ideas and the code that carries them, kept in the repository and current with accepted work, so agents read less to find their way. Efficiency
Contribution mode
A member's switch on a project. While it is on, their unattended runner works the queue under their commitment. Borrowed capacity
Critical path
The part of the remaining work that can't run in parallel, found through the dependencies. Cost and usage

D

Decision
A recorded choice with its author, reason and the part of the vision it serves. Append-only: a change is a new decision that overrules it. Decisions
Decision-maker
A role an owner gives. Decision-makers answer the project's questions. The work map
Default
The option the asker of a question will take unless told otherwise. Work carries on with it while the question waits. Decisions
Dependency
An item that must come first. Needs done: finished and accepted. Needs planned: its plan accepted, enough to build against. The work map
Done-when
The test of finished that someone outside the work can check. Every plan has one. The work map
Draft
A decision or answer a session proposes from a conversation, citing the lines it came from. It decides nothing until a person approves it. Decisions

E

Estimate
A size class for an item, by what it touches, which gives a range of tokens and time. Advises only, and stays inside Anacreon. Cost and usage

F

Follow-up
Something a review found that doesn't block the work. One piece per pull request gathers them. The work map

H

Hold
An open question or proposal that keeps an item from being ready until it closes. Decisions
Human record
Anything a person wrote on the page, signed in, labelled so. The record

I

Interview
The fixed questions a person answers on joining: expertise, tools and models, time zone, commitment. Asked in a form their AI tool shows, where it can. Sessions and tools
Interface
What a plan says its work provides or uses, and where each is defined. Changing one after acceptance is a proposal to everyone who depends on it. The work map

L

Lapse
A claim ending because its session went quiet for an hour. The item returns to open with its branch and progress. The work map

M

Map
A project's chunks and pieces with their dependencies, drawn on the Map page. The work map
Map change
A split, addition, merge or new dependency, with the finding behind it. Being built The work map
MCP
The Model Context Protocol, the open standard AI assistants use to connect to tools. Anacreon is an MCP server. Sessions and tools
Member
A person in a project. Members plan, build, review, ask and propose. The work map
Model class
A project's grouping of models by what work they suit. A kind of work can require one, and sessions running something else are flagged. Efficiency

N

next_steps
The tool a session calls to learn what to do next, in priority order, each with an exact call. Its first step is stop when nothing is ready or the commitment is spent. Sessions and tools

O

Organization
Owns projects and their members. Another organization's id reads exactly as one that doesn't exist. The record
Overrule
How a decision changes: a new decision replaces it, and both stay in the record. Decisions
Owner
Runs a project: vision, chunks, people, roles, settings. The work map

P

Piece
A small, self-contained part of a chunk, with a brief, that anyone on the project can take. The work map
Plan
A short deliverable before building: a summary, at most seven steps, a done-when, tests and what is out of scope, within 2,500 characters. The work map
Plan acceptor
A person a chunk names who may accept its pieces' plans, besides its accountable person and the owners. The work map
Progress entry
What a session posts against its claim: what landed, what is next, the branch or pull request. Posted as done, it submits the item. The work map
Proposal
A tier-2 change that reaches other chunks, sent to their people. Passes when all accept or on a clock. Decisions

Q

Question
A tier-3 matter only a person can answer, asked with options, consequences and a default. Decisions

R

Readiness
The one definition of whether an item can be planned or built now. Every list and claim uses it. The work map
Record
Everything written in a project: decisions, plans, acceptances, progress, usage. Append-only and chained. The record
Request
A small job about one chunk or piece, taken by one session at a time and answered in the item's room. The work map
Review
A piece of its own, published when a build is submitted, taken by a member other than the builder. Blockers return the build. The work map
Rework notice
Sent to the work affected when an answer overrules the default it was built on. Decisions
Room
Where members talk about one chunk or piece, on the page. Talk decides nothing until a person marks a decision. Decisions
Runner
An unattended loop on a member's machine that takes one piece or request at a time, each in a fresh session inside a container. Sessions and tools

S

Seed
A file that sets a project up: its chunks, pieces and decisions, applied through the same rules as the page. Sessions and tools
Session
One AI assistant working in one project, keyed on its token and the project. Sessions and tools
Size class
XS to XL, each defined by what work touches. Its ranges are calibrated from finished work of that size. Cost and usage
Stage
A milestone the owners want reached before doing something, such as taking a first customer, which holds work back until reached. In design What's coming

T

Tier
How far a decision reaches: 1 inside one's own work, 2 into others' work, 3 into the vision. Decisions
TL;DR
The summary of at most two sentences that leads any decision, question or proposal longer than five sentences. Decisions
Token (session)
The revocable credential an AI assistant uses to call Anacreon. Stored only as a hash. Sessions and tools
Tokens (usage)
What AI models consume and are billed by, counted in four kinds: input, cache write, cache read and output. Cost and usage
Trace
The link from commits and pull requests to the item they served, and from the item to its decisions. The record
Transcript
A meeting's or voice session's text, by speaker and time, read only by its sender and the owners. Decisions

U

Usage report
Tokens by model, read from an AI tool's own logs and counted against what the session held. Cost and usage

V

Vendor list
The AI vendors a project allows to see its code. A member outside it is shown no work. The record
Verified usage
Usage read from a tool's own logs. The only kind that counts toward actuals, estimates and prices. Cost and usage
Vision
What the project is for, as versioned text. Changing it is a tier-3 decision. The work map

W

Witness
A member's machine keeping the last chain head it saw, and warning its person if a new head doesn't extend it. The record
Work packet
One answer, at most 12,000 characters, holding everything a fresh agent needs for one piece. Sessions and tools
Worker
A role that builds published pieces only, and is shown only the tools that needs. The work map
